Rewriting the page your traffic already reaches

Title, subtitle, description, keywords, bullet points and A+ modules rebuilt so the listing earns the click and holds the reader — because content sending traffic to a weak page is wasted spend.

Listing optimisation is the work on the page itself: the title, subtitle, description, keywords, bullet points and A+ content that a reader lands on after clicking a video or an advert. It exists because a campaign that sends hundreds of interested people to a page that buries what the book is about has spent all of that effort to arrive at a decision to leave. The Trust stage of any book campaign runs through this page, and it cannot be skipped by posting more content.

Which parts of your listing get rewritten

  • Rewritten title, subtitle, description and keywords, on Foundation as a base rewrite of what is already there.
  • Bullet points rebuilt to lead with what a reader wants to know rather than with what the author wants to say.
  • A+ content build — Foundation covers the base rewrite, Momentum an enhanced build, and Growth a premium one with more modules.
  • A written explanation of every change, so you can see what was altered and argue with it if you disagree.

How a listing is read before it is rewritten

  • Reading the book properly. The listing can only make claims the manuscript supports. Overclaiming here is the fastest way to lose a sale and a review.
  • Reading the current page as a stranger. What does a reader learn in the first two lines? Which of the five bullet points would make them buy?
  • Working out who the reader is. The subgenre they read, the books they already like, the promise the blurb is making.
  • Rebuilding the copy around that reader, and structuring A+ modules to carry the argument the bullets cannot.
  • Checking the terms actually used in that subgenre, so the listing is findable by the words real readers type.

What we need before the page is touched

The current listing as it stands, access to the page so changes can be applied, and a decision on anything you are unwilling to change — a title you have worked hard on, a subtitle with a meaning only you know. You should also know that A+ content has its own approval process on Amazon's side, and that not every change appears immediately.

Why blurbs and A+ content fall flat

The most common failure is a blurb written to impress other authors rather than to inform readers. Second is treating A+ content as a place for more adjectives instead of more information — a comparison table or a clear who-this-is-for module does more work than three panels of praise. Third is a listing rebuilt around keywords the author wants rather than words the reader uses, which brings traffic and then loses the sale.

Who a listing rewrite will not help

Not for a book with no published edition and no listing to work on. Not for an author who wants to keep every word of the current copy — the value here is that things change, and if nothing can be rewritten there is little to do. And not as a substitute for reviews or for a good cover. This work improves the page; it cannot make an unappealing book appealing.

The one careful hour this asks of you

Reading one document carefully and replying to a small number of specific questions — whether a claim is accurate, whether a comparison is fair, whether a title change is acceptable. An hour, well spent, and it is the same hour whether the book has a hundred readers or ten thousand.

What a clear sales page achieves

Success is a page where the argument for the book is made clearly and in the reader's language, and where a first-time visitor understands what they would be buying. Whether that translates into a change in conversion is something we monitor rather than promise. The honest test is simpler: does the page read as though it was written for the person landing on it.

Questions we get about Listing copy & A+ content optimization

Will this improve my Amazon ranking?

We will not claim a ranking outcome, and you should be wary of anyone who does. This work makes the page clearer and more findable, which helps the traffic you already have convert. Ranking is affected by sales velocity, reviews, price, competition and history, none of which a listing rewrite controls on its own.

Do I have to change my title?

No. We will tell you if we think the title is the problem, and if it is, we will explain why with reference to what the book is and who reads it. If you decide to keep it, we keep it and make the rest of the page work harder. Your book, your call — but we will not stay quiet about it if we disagree.

What does A+ content actually do?

It adds modules below the description on the product page: comparison tables, images with text, standard company or author information blocks. It is where you can show a comparison between editions or against comparable books, and where you can carry detail the bullet points have no room for. It is design and content, and it is judged by whether it helps a reader decide.
