Expected results

Expected results by plan.

Here is what each plan is designed to influence: video views, content clicks, Kindle Unlimited page reads, preorders, downloads, and sales lift. The figures below are planning ranges, not guarantees. Actual results vary by genre, backlist, price point, and starting audience.

These ranges describe the paid plans. A free catalogue listing is not a plan and has no range: it makes your book findable, and nothing more is claimed for it.

How to read this: these are expected ranges for planning, measured against a book's pre-campaign baseline over the standard 90-day planning window. They are not promises of sales, reviews, rankings, or coverage. Genre, backlist, price point, audience, and campaign readiness all affect the outcome.

Definitions

What each measure counts.

These are different things and we do not use one as a substitute for another. An impression is a piece of content seen. A video view is that content played. A click-through is someone opening your listing. A free-promo download is someone taking a free copy. A KU page read is a page read inside Kindle Unlimited. A preorder is an order placed before release. A sales lift is the change against the book's own pre-campaign baseline, not an absolute number of sales. A review is an independent, voluntary review — never a condition of a free copy.
