Every service in detail

Discover

Short-form video

In every plan · trailer from Enhanced · theme song on Starter & Growth

Genre-matched vertical video for discovery

Genre-matched short-form content — TikTok, YouTube Shorts, and Instagram Reels — built specifically to put your book in front of readers already primed for your genre.

Readers must find the book first

Video finds the readers. A good book is only the beginning — readers have to discover it before the rest of the work can move them toward a purchase.

How we plan and shoot each batch

Genre-matched scripts, viral hooks, and trending audio at every tier. Enhanced and up add a cinematic book trailer; Starter and Growth add an original theme song for a consistent audio identity across the run.

Rising impressions feeding later conversions

Rising impressions and video views feeding the click-throughs later stages convert — roughly 30k–70k impressions by month 3 at Spark, scaling with plan.

The base layer for every author

Every author, at every stage — this is the base layer the rest of the reader-growth work builds on.

Discover

Multilingual book discovery

Available as part of author-facing campaign planning

Language-aware discovery beyond English

Reader-facing discovery support for books published in languages beyond English, with language-aware catalogue positioning and destination links that help readers find the right edition.

Why single-language positioning limits reach

A book can be well positioned in its own language and still be difficult for the right readers to discover. Language-aware presentation reduces that friction.

How we review language, metadata and destinations

Review the book's language, genre, metadata, cover, and available reading destinations, then shape the discovery path around the audience and markets the author actually wants to reach.

Fewer mismatched clicks on the right edition

Clearer language-specific discovery, fewer mismatched clicks, and a measurable path from the campaign surface to an appropriate edition or retailer.

Authors selling translated editions

Authors publishing translated editions, writing for multilingual audiences, or building a campaign outside a single-language market.

Trust

ARC review campaigns

Momentum (10 readers) & Growth (25 readers)

Independent reviews from matched readers

Planning a free book giveaway? Tell us — preferably in advance. Share your next free-book dates and we'll feature you. You can provide complimentary copies to selected readers, then invite honest, independent reviews. The free copy is never conditional on posting a review, giving a positive rating, or changing an existing one.

Why social proof lowers buying hesitation

Reviews make the click worthwhile — they create social proof and reduce the uncertainty a cold reader feels before buying from an author they don't know yet.

How we recruit, send and track readers

Recruit and manage a batch of genre-matched readers, send matched copies, and track the reviews that result.

A measurable net new review count

Net new reviews on the target title — a measurable review-count delta before vs. after the campaign.

Authors with a thin review count

Authors moving from discovery-only content into a coordinated launch or backlist push, where a thin review count is holding back conversion.

Trust

Listing optimisation

Foundation, Momentum, Growth

Rewritten copy, keywords and A+ content

Rewritten listing copy, keywords, and A+ content built to convert the traffic your video and review work is already sending.

The listing has to close the click

The listing earns the sale. Content and reviews get a reader to click — the storefront itself has to close it.

How we tier the listing rewrite

We review the book's reader-facing presentation, then provide a base copy and A+ rewrite at Foundation, an enhanced A+ build at Momentum, and a premium A+ build at Growth. Where the positioning needs deeper work, we pair this with Editorial guidance.

Conversion rate rising independently of traffic

A higher click-through-to-listing conversion rate, isolated from any change in the traffic volume itself.

Live listings that were never optimised

Authors with a live Amazon listing that's never been properly optimised — usually the first gap once discovery content is already working.

Convert

Preorder campaigns

Setup on Foundation · full countdown on Momentum & Growth

Preorder infrastructure and countdown campaigns

Getting the mechanical preorder infrastructure live on Amazon, then — at Momentum and Growth — running a structured countdown campaign against it.

Building momentum ahead of launch day

A structured countdown builds momentum before launch day, turning warmed, trust-building traffic into a committed sale ahead of release rather than losing it to a generic launch date.

How we configure and run the countdown

Foundation configures the preorder listing itself. Momentum runs a 6-week countdown campaign against it; Growth runs 8 weeks.

Preorders secured by the release date

Preorders secured by launch — roughly 80–180 at Momentum, 200–420 at Growth, by month 3.

Authors with a release date already booked

Authors with a launch date already on the calendar who need the run-up coordinated rather than improvised.

Retain

Newsletter features & free-promotion campaigns

Bundled with the newsletter feature on Momentum & Growth

A timed free-download window with newsletter support

A limited free-download window, pushed through the reader list and paired with a newsletter placement, to widen the reader base and lift visibility.

Re-engaging readers you already have

It re-engages readers already on your list while pulling in new ones at volume — a discovery lever that runs on top of, not instead of, the ongoing video work.

How features run through the shared reader list

Run the promotion alongside a scheduled newsletter feature — quarterly at Momentum, monthly at Growth — through the shared reader list built by ShelfMates/StoryPals.

Downloads and KU page-reads rising together

1,200–2,400 downloads per feature at Momentum, 2,400–4,800 at Growth, with a KU page-reads lift alongside it.

Authors who already have a reader list

Authors who already have a reader list to promote into — this is a retain-stage amplifier, not a standalone discovery tool for a brand-new author.

Retain

Reader-list building

Foundation, Momentum, Growth

A reader list you own rather than rent

Converting one-time viewers or buyers into a reader list you own — via StoryPals for children's & family books — rather than one you rent from a platform.

Why owned lists make the next book easier

Reader lists make the relationship repeatable. The next book starts with readers you've already earned, instead of starting discovery from zero every time.

How we enrol readers as campaigns run

Ongoing enrollment of new readers into StoryPals, matched to your genre, as content and campaigns run.

Steady monthly signups and list growth

Net new reader-list signups per month, and a growing list size to feed retargeting and newsletter features.

Anyone planning more than one release

Any author planning more than one release — this is what makes the second book's launch faster than the first.

Discover

Amazon advertising

Starter only

A managed Amazon DSP budget on top of organic

A managed Amazon DSP ad budget, layered on top of your ongoing organic content rather than replacing it.

Testing paid traffic without managing the account

Paid amplification for authors who are ready to test ads without taking on the work of managing an ad account themselves.

How we run DSP retargeting for you

Manage Amazon DSP retargeting on your behalf, alongside your existing content cadence.

Paid impressions and clicks reported separately

Incremental impressions and click-throughs attributable specifically to the paid channel, separated from the organic split.

Authors testing ads before a full tier

Authors who want to test paid traffic alongside organic content before committing to a full campaign tier.

Repeat

Audience retargeting

Momentum & Growth

Segmented and lookalike ads for engaged readers

Segmented and lookalike retargeting, shown up to 5x daily for 30 days to readers who already engaged with your content or listing.

Bringing hesitant buyers back to finish

It closes the loop — bringing an interested reader back to finish a purchase they already showed intent for, instead of losing that attention after one impression.

How we run each thirty-day retargeting cycle

Run segmented retargeting against engaged visitors, plus lookalike targeting toward readers who resemble your existing converters, for 30 days per cycle.

Sales lift attributable to the retargeted segment

Sales lift attributable to the retargeted segment — roughly +25–45% at Momentum, +60–110% at Growth by month 3.

Authors with traffic but unfinished sales

Authors already running content and listing work, where the gap isn't traffic — it's finishing the sale traffic already earned.

Retain

Reader ecosystem

Enrollment from Foundation · full social management on Momentum & Growth

A standing audience between releases

A long-term home for your readers to follow you between releases — StoryPals for children's and family books — plus, at Momentum and Growth, full management of your own social accounts.

Why one-off discovery fades after a campaign

We go beyond marketing books — we aim to build lasting reader relationships. Discovery on its own fades after one campaign — a reader ecosystem is what turns it into a standing audience for the next book.

How we enrol readers and run your socials

Enroll readers into StoryPals as they come through the funnel, and — at Momentum and Growth — manage your own social accounts day to day so retained readers have somewhere active to follow.

Growing followers, engagement and list size

Follower growth and engagement rate on your own accounts (Momentum/Growth), alongside a steadily growing reader-list size (Foundation and up).

Authors thinking past a single launch

Any author thinking beyond a single launch — the reader ecosystem is what a second and third book get to start from.

Discover

Audiobook marketing

By conversation · for authors who already have a finished audiobook

Discovery built for a finished audiobook

Build discovery for an audiobook that already exists — whether another producer made it or you recorded it yourself. Audiobook-focused short-form content, promotional concepts built around narration, character, and scene, reader-community promotion across TikTok, Instagram and YouTube, and cross-promotion between your print, ebook, and audiobook editions.

Why listening needs its own strategy

Listening is its own discovery channel, not a leftover edition of the ebook. An audiobook is judged on how it sounds, who narrates it, and how the story is performed — so it needs its own marketing strategy rather than the print campaign with a new cover.

How we cut narrative-led audio content

Narrative-led short-form content, scene and character hooks cut for audio, community and reader-list promotion, and coordinated cross-format pushes. Content volume follows the same defined production model as every other plan, and is not unlimited production at any tier.

Impressions and clicks, without sales figures

Impressions, video views, and click-throughs on audiobook content — measured against the same planning ranges we publish for the book marketing plans. We do not publish audiobook sales figures or listening statistics.

Authors with an under-marketed finished audiobook

Authors with an audiobook already finished and under-marketed, who want a launch or relaunch campaign built specifically for the audio edition.

Not every plan includes every service. Spark and Enhanced are content-only entry points — Discover-stage work only. Starter adds paid Amazon amplification, still Discover-stage. Trust, Convert, Retain, and Repeat services begin at Foundation, and the full system — ARC campaigns, preorder countdowns, retargeting, and full social management — is Momentum and Growth. See exactly what's included tier by tier on Pricing.

Delivery

What working with us actually looks like.

What do I need to provide?

Just a link to your book — or, if you have a backlist, a link to your catalogue. You can also share any planned discount-deal dates so we can plan campaigns around them.

Do I need to appear on camera?

No — you never need to appear on camera.

How often is content produced?

Depends on plan: 60 videos/month at Spark and Enhanced, 80 at Foundation and Momentum, and 100+ at Starter and Growth.

What happens when my following gets bigger?

Video volume is a means, not the goal. Below 5,000 followers, we focus on consistent short-form content — up to 60 videos/month — and optimise for discovery, reach, and follower growth. At 5,000+ followers, the strategy shifts: fewer, longer, more developed videos, prioritising depth, stronger storytelling, audience retention, and conversion. We are not trying to keep increasing video quantity indefinitely, and this is not unlimited production.

Who manages the campaigns?

A dedicated outreach team manages your account day-to-day — reaching out to ARC and reviewer lists on your behalf and making sure everything is running smoothly.

Not sure which service you need first?

Start Here routes you to the right plan based on where your book is right now — not a generic funnel.
